This is a good park in a good location. Although it is very near I-40, we did not notice a lot of road noise. It is beside a Camping World and is a PA and Good Sam Park. The price we paid is averaged out for 2 days under PA and one under Good Sam. We found Vickie (in the office) to be very friendly and helpful. All sites are dirt, but wide. We can see where the dust might really blow if it is windy, but not a problem when we stayed here. The wi-fi (free) was o.k. The signal was very good to excellent, but the speed was slow, (11 Mbps) and I was using a network adapter to extend the range. We would stay here again.

We generally agree with all of the comments made previously. The first 2 nights were under PA (electricity and water only) for $12 per night. The 3rd night was full price so we moved sites to a full hook-up site. They did give us a reduction for Good Sam Club. When we called to make the reservations, they told us that wi-fi was $1.95 per day. When we arrived, we were shown a brochure for the wi-fi at $1.95/day. When we logged onto the wi-fi, the price came up at $3.95/day. When we informed the office, they said they would notify the owner. The wi-fi was slow. In spite of the fact that it kept telling me my signal was very good and 54 Mbps, it functioned like dial-up. If the wi-fi had been good, we would have given this park a much better rating.

We camped here under AOR. The rate was $6 + $1 for 30 amp/night. Our site had electric and water only. Park seems fine and has activities in the clubhouse. We were expecting full hook-ups and wi-fi. When we checked in, they said our site was EW only and the wifi wasn't working. By the next day, I was able to sign in and pay for wifi service with Tengo Internet, only to have it say "limited or no connectivity" within minutes of paying and I couldn't access it again for several hours. The wi-fi was "iffy" at best. Signal strength wasn't particularly good. Now that we have read the reviews on Distant Drums, I would stay there in future instead.

This is a lovely park with easy and clean hook-ups. Road to the park is quite steep and windy, but wide and paved so not a problem for our 38’ motorhome with tow. The sites are wide and although our pull-thru site was long, it was not level at the front, so we had to disconnect to stay on the level portion. This was not a problem for us as we stayed 2 nights and had to disconnect anyway to tour Hot Springs. Very friendly and helpful staff. They brought us to our site, told us about places of interest in the area and things to see and do in our short stay. The view is gorgeous with some fall colours still in mid November. We used Passport America ($13) for our first night and Good Sam ($22) for our 2nd night. We paid an additional $2.50 per night for 50 AMP service, which is mandatory if your rig is 35’ or longer and we paid $2/day for Wi-FI. Our only negative comments on this park are: 1) picnic tables were usually situated next to your neighbour’s hook-ups (could be moved closer to the front of the site) and 2) the additional costs. We did not take cable TV, which is an additional $1.50/day. Even with our negative comments, we would stay again and for a longer period so we could take in more of the beautiful sites of Hot Springs and surrounding area.

This park is close to the I-10 (1-2 miles). Watch carefully for the big yellow sign at the entrance. Friendly reception. The interior roads are wide packed gravel. Pull-thrus are at the back and are long and narrow. The back-in sites appear to be long and wide. There are very clean private toilets & showers with disposable paper mats provided. The laundry facilities are small and clean. Passport America rate is $15. We paid an additional $2.50 for a pull-thru. It is a clean park, nicely treed with grass at all sites. It is a good touring base and is located right inside town, within walking distance to shops etc. We found it quiet enough for sleeping and would stay again.

This is a nice clean park with easy and clean hook-ups. It is nicely treed with small fences near hook-ups to obscure the view from your neighbours property. The sites are level gravel. It is a well maintained park with friendly staff. Pull thru sites are long but a little narrow. If you have anything over 38’, you will probably have to unhook your tow vehicle. Laundry and private shower facilities were very clean and spacious. Lots of facilities available. Large free book, VHS & DVD lending library. Some highway noise from 35W, but tolerable. This park is no longer Passport America but remains a Good Sam Park. For our $27 we got free Wi-Fi, free cable, free phone (which we didn’t use) and 50 AMP service. We would stay here again when visiting the area.

Easy on/off I-20. We had a pull-thru gravel site that could accommodate our 38’ motorhome with tow. Sites are narrow and fairly level. Very friendly hosts, showed us to our site and made sure that we had everything we needed. When the host noticed a branch close to our motorhome, no time was wasted in cutting it down. This is an older park with newer owners who appear to be working hard at keeping it clean and fixing it up. It isn’t a fancy park, but is a good overnight or short stay park. Wi-Fi is included in the price and worked well. Cable TV is free and they even provide the cable for hook-up. This is a Good Sam Park. There is some Interstate noise, but tolerable unless you are a really light sleeper. We would definitely stay again when passing through.

We stayed at this campground for a week. The space between the entrance gates is a little narrower than I like for our 38' motorhome with tow vehicle. Check in was extremely slow (a good 30+ minutes) and after talking with other RV'ers, we weren't the only ones that had problems at check-in. This is a Passport America Park. Although they weren't advertising WI-FI, I found it when I turned on my computer. After checking with the office, I was told they were just in the process of setting it up and weren't sure if I would be able to access it from our location in the park, because of all of the trees in that area. They did say that if we were in one of the newer areas (without the trees), I would likely be able to get better reception. As we were camping with another couple, it wasn't worth re-locating two RVs for the few times we would likely go on the internet. They didn't charge me for the Wi-Fi, because they were still in set-up mode and not advertising the service. I appreciated that as the service was extremely sporadic in our section of the park. It kept dropping the line. The beach had the potential to be nice, but was full of goose poop. They have a 9 hole frisbee golf course and once we figured out where to start, it was good fun. A sign on the road pointing to the first hole would be helpful. We had daily visitors from the duck pond looking for a piece of bread. Overall it is a nice peaceful and relaxing campground with decent size sites. We will definitely return.
